North Carolina man faces drug charges after home search

A North Carolina man has been jailed for suspicion of running a meth lab out of his Rowan County residence. The 36-year-old is now facing drug charges with the possibility of more charges in the future. A 10-year-old child was at the home when a search warrant was executed and was later handed over to a relative not involved in the case.

During the search of one of the bedrooms, officers allege they found two meth labs. They also uncovered materials that could be used in the process of manufacturing drugs and 300 grams of liquid meth. The accused and the young child were also present in that room. Officers do not know what the relationship is between the child and the man.

The man is now facing drug charges, specifically two counts of meth trafficking and a single count of meth manufacturing. He is at the Rowan County Jail with a $300,000 bond. No word has been released on whether the other potential charges are linked to the alleged drug bust or unrelated.

This man will likely have an uphill legal battle ahead of him as he attempts to fight the drug charges and any additional charges that may be brought against him. Fortunately, he is innocent until proven guilty and will have the opportunity to address the charges in a North Carolina court of law. Knowing his legal rights as they pertain to these charges can only serve to help him mount a relevant defense as he seeks to stress his innocence to authorities.
