North Carolina theft crime: 2 women charged

Two women are accused of using two children to help them commit a theft crime. They have been arrested and are now facing several criminal charges in connection with the incident. Authorities believe the two may have used an eight and 10-year-old child to help them commit the theft crime against a North Carolina Walmart.

The duo reportedly loaded a shopping cart inside of the store and used the children to take the cart outside. When they were detained, both women allegedly gave security false names. Once their identities were discovered, it was discovered one of the woman had already been banned from entering the premises.

The relationship between the women has not been divulged, but both of the children have been released to a family member. The two women were arrested and are now required to answer the charges in criminal court. One of those charges in this theft crime case is contributing to the delinquency of a minor.

A theft crime can result in many charges, but the fact that children were involved has added to the legal troubles now faced by the adults. The value of the items they reportedly tried to steal has not been reported, an amount which could also impact the seriousness of the charges against them. Both would probably be well served if they enlisted the aid of someone knowledgeable in North Carolina criminal law. They are likely facing charges serious enough to warrant the need of a vigorous defense that protects their legal rights and seeks the best possible outcome.
