DWI on a horse? Segway? Bicycle? Skateboard?

A Kentucky man - barechested, of course - was arrested for DWI on a horse.  He goes by the alias "Mike Bicycle" and was alleged to have said "I didn't do shit, I was just riding my horse".  Booking photos show a well tattooed but otherwise flaccid torso.  

As to North Carolina, our DWI statute specifically exempts a DWI charge while riding on a horse.  However, the NC DWI statute includes DWI in any "vehicle" which is broadly defined as any device which can carry person or property on the road that is not human-powered.  However, Bicycles are specifically INCLUDED in the definition, so you can get a DWI on a bicycle, but perhaps not on a skateboard.  Personal mobility devices and Segways also appear to be excluded from the "vehicle" definition, so you may not be liable for a DWI on one of those.  

Still unanswered is whether you can get a DWI on a donkey.  Or a horse-drawn cart.  What about a mule, which is the offspring of a donkey and a horse?

Bicycle Mike might want to move down to NC with his horse, but should therefore reconsider whether to leave his bicycle in The Commonwealth of Kentucky.
