2 facing felony drug charges following search of home and vehicle

Law enforcement agencies across the country employ a variety of measures to reduce the flow of illegal drug traffic. During their investigations, if a warrant is obtained for the search of a home, those who reside within could face criminal charges if illicit drugs are seized. Two men are reportedly facing felony drug charges after the recent search of a residence in North Carolina.

Authorities claim the warrant was executed at the home on a recent Monday. After allegedly finding an unspecified amount of methamphetamine within, they proceeded to search a nearby vehicle, which they say unearthed almost an ounce of methamphetamine and 3 grams of heroin, along with various types of drug paraphernalia. Two men are facing multiple drug charges in relation to the search, one of which was apparently already in custody on unrelated charges.

No information was provided as to how authorities came to suspect the presence of drug activity at the residence, or whether any evidence was found that would suggest that the individuals in question were involved. Both are currently in custody and facing felony drug charges, which carry severe penalties if a conviction is obtained. Those who face similar charges may choose to prepare for what comes next by focusing on their defense, and seeking assistance in the process could be advisable.

An individual who is facing felony drug charges may find it beneficial to seek guidance as soon as possible. An experienced attorney can thoroughly examine the charges against an individual, along with the evidence, and assist in forming a strong defense for use during legal proceedings. If a conviction cannot be avoided, an attorney in North Carolina can assist a client in pursuing the most favorable outcome given the situation.
