1 facing multiple drug charges following recent investigation

Being the subject of an ongoing investigation can be a stressful and daunting process. Individuals who are accused of crimes under similar circumstances may wish to protect their future, but they may be uncertain where to turn for guidance. A 35-year-old man has recently been arrested and is facing multiple drug charges after a recent investigation into an alleged drug operation in North Carolina.

During the investigation, authorities claim to have purchased heroin-laced fentanyl on several occasions while undercover. They assert that the drug was lethal, and that due to the undercover purchases, the man was suspected of being a major source of its supply. This reportedly led authorities to initiate a traffic stop upon locating his vehicle, which allegedly led to a pursuit.

Police were eventually able to stop the vehicle and take the man into custody, where he reportedly remains while awaiting court proceedings. He is facing numerous charges in relation to the investigation, including the trafficking, delivery and selling of heroin. The penalties for similar charges are serious, and if convicted, he could be facing consequences that could have a substantial impact on his future.

An individual who is facing drug charges of this nature would likely benefit from seeking guidance in the initial stages of the process. An experienced attorney can evaluate the charges and evidence against a client in North Carolina and provide advice on the potential consequences he or she may face. An attorney can work toward protecting a client's legal rights while assisting the client in forming a strong defense for use during subsequent court proceedings.
