Domestic violence cases dismissed, AGAIN!

Attorney Connelly obtained the dismissal of a 50B Domestic violence restraining order when the "victim" failed to prove that his client had harassed her. It was the SECOND TIME in less than one year that the same "victim" had sought a 50B Domestic violence restraining order against the same client and we have fought back both petitions, obtaining dismissals in both cases.
This time however, the "victim" upped the ante and also sought criminal charges (Stalking, etc) during this second go around, but Attorney Connelly obtained a NOT GUILTY verdict after trial.

1 facing multiple drug charges following 2-year investigation

In an effort to cut down on the flow of drug activity, law enforcement agents may deploy a variety of tactics over the course of an investigation. These tactics can range anywhere from the use of an undercover informant to make controlled buys to hotlines set up to receive tips from anonymous individuals. A 41-year-old man is facing multiple drug charges in relation to his alleged involvement in the trafficking of heroin following a recent investigation in North Carolina.

DA Witness not following Judge's Order results in DWI dismissal

Attorney Connelly asked the court to prohibit a key State's witness from giving critical testimony after the witness violated a sequestration order of the court. (A sequestration order requires that all witnesses remain out outside the courtroom and not discuss the case or their testimony.) This key witness sat through the testimony of other witnesses even though the court had ordered that all witnesses remain outside the courtroom. This resulted in the dismissal of a DWI case.

1 charged with DUI following moped accident in North Carolina

A 55-year-old man has been accused of driving under the influence of alcohol following a recent accident in which he veered off the road while operating a moped. North Carolina state law permits a person to drive such a vehicle without a license or insurance provided the operator wears the proper gear. However, laws concerning impairment apply to all drivers, and those accused of DUI under similar circumstances could face serious consequences.

2 face charges following domestic violence incident

While many couples experience disagreements on occasion, in most cases, the resulting argument may be short-lived and uneventful. However, sometimes a simple verbal spat can become volatile and lead to criminal charges for those involved. Two individuals have been arrested following a domestic violence incident where shots were fired outside of a residence in North Carolina.

Penalties for prescription drug abuse in North Carolina

One of the most amazing benefits of modern society is the advancements in medicine. Prescription drugs have done wonders in treating multiple diseases and health conditions. Unfortunately, some also carry the risk of abuse or addiction. These risks become reality for millions of Americans each year.

4 arrested on drug charges at residence near college campus

As a college student, being accused of a drug-related crime can be a scary and daunting experience. Students who face drug charges may have little to no experience in the area, and they might be unaware of their legal rights. Four individuals have recently been arrested following an investigation into possible drug activity at a townhouse near North Carolina State University.
